Healing as a Messy Multi-Hyphenate with creative blocks

To be honest, creativity hasn't always been sunshine and rainbows for me - but it was my first love and continues to be the thing that lights me up the most. Throughout my creative journey I've found myself working at LA record labels, singing with Grammy winners, attending award shows surrounded by celebrities, landing a deal for a tv show, screenwriting, and being conducted by world-class conductors, but despite my success, creativity was so often a mental and emotional struggle.

As a sensitive soul who lives and breathes creativity, I've constantly battled imposter syndrome, anxiety, and mental blocks that felt like an ever-present wall. Meditation helped with the general life stuff, but when it came to unleashing my creativity, it felt like I just couldn't reach a breakthrough. There was a deeper well of unprocessed fears and emotions holding me back from putting my heart and soul into my art or releasing my art - and all the validation in the world wouldn't help.

That's when the real journey began. For years, I went down the rabbit hole of self-discovery. Therapy, countless apps and  meditations, hundreds of books about the psychology of the mind, creativity, and everything in between, and a whole lot of soul searching – I dug deep into every creative block, fear, and inner child wound that held me back. I was tired of feeling like a fraud, tired of the constant struggle to bring my ideas to life.

I created these meditations for myself first - I started uncovering the root causes of my creative paralysis and building tools to overcome them. Meditations for Creatives is the culmination of that journey – a testament to the messy, beautiful power of facing our creative fears and finally letting our artistic selves take flight.
